The Permit Pilot is a tool, not a service provider
The Permit Pilot is software that helps you organize your permitting workflow. We do not:
- file permits with municipalities on your behalf,
- act as your lawyer, notary, expediter, or licensed contractor,
- guarantee that any permit will be approved, issued on time, or accepted by any building department,
- verify the accuracy of customer information you enter,
- inspect or warrant the quality of any work performed in the field.
No legal, code-compliance, or professional advice
Information shown in the platform — including AI Co-Pilot responses, municipal data, document templates, checklists, alerts, and suggested next steps — is for informational purposes only. It is not legal advice, not building-code interpretation, not engineering or design advice, and not a substitute for consulting a licensed professional in your jurisdiction.
AI Co-Pilot
Co-Pilot responses are generated by AI models and may be wrong, outdated, or hallucinated. Do not rely on Co-Pilot for legally binding decisions, fee quotes, code interpretations, or anything involving regulatory compliance without independent verification.
Municipal data
Municipality contact info, portal URLs, fees, expiration windows, and required documents are gathered from publicly available sources or scraped on request and may be out of date. Always verify with the municipality before submitting.
E-signatures
Our e-signature feature complies with the federal E-SIGN Act and applicable state UETA laws, but the legal enforceability of any specific signed document depends on facts we don't control (consent, attribution, intent, retention). Consult counsel for high-stakes documents.
Payments
Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We never store full card numbers or bank credentials. Refunds, chargebacks, and disputes are subject to Stripe's policies and to Section 3 of our Terms of Service.
Third-party services
The platform integrates with Stripe, Resend, Supabase / Lovable Cloud, Google, and Lovable AI. Outages, errors, or data losses caused by those providers are outside our control.
Limitation of liability
See Section 10 of the Terms of Service. In short: we are not liable for permit denials, code violations, fines, delays, lost revenue, or any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
